Previous Year Question (PYQs)

A 4-input neuron has weights $1,2,3,4$. The transfer function is linear with the constant of proportionality being equal to $3$. The inputs are $5,7,10,30$, respectively. Then the output will be

Solution

Given weights are:

$w_1=1,\ w_2=2,\ w_3=3,\ w_4=4$

Given inputs are:

$x_1=5,\ x_2=7,\ x_3=10,\ x_4=30$

Net input is:

$Net = w_1x_1+w_2x_2+w_3x_3+w_4x_4$

$Net = 1(5)+2(7)+3(10)+4(30)$

$Net = 5+14+30+120$

$Net = 169$

The transfer function is linear with constant of proportionality $3$.

So, output is:

$Output = 3 \times 169$

$Output = 507$
